"The Rites and Wrong of Grosvenor Square" was presented as part of the "Scene and Heard" Festival 2019 edition, in the main space of the Smock Alley Theatre in Dublin for two nights.

"The Rites and Wrong of Grosvenor Square", written by Adam Wheyt, tells Medbh and Cian's story and their ethereal neighbour on a cloudy afternoon in Dublin. The plots oscillate between bleak and comic elements, past and present, illusion and reality.

The play echoes the poem "The Wrongs of Grosvenor Square", written by Bram Stocker in 1892.

In building the Rites and Wrong of Grosvenor Square atmosphere, I wanted to create an original and functional space infusing it with the essence of the Bram Stocker poem.

The set recreates the atmosphere of Grosvenor Square in Dublin. In this lovely neighbourhood, life happens in the front gardens of beautiful Georgian houses during the summer. The terrace of the mysterious neighbour represents a singular space suspended between reality and dream.

The costumes harmonized with the scenography in contrast between lacteous and sanguine.

The essentiality of elements was functional for this play, presented as part of a festival with a fast turnover between shows.
